Wings for Success – a nonprofit with locations in Frazer and Kennett Square that provides apparel, advice, and advocacy to women in need – will host “Wings and Wheels: Steering Women to Success” on Friday, Oct. 11 from 6-10 PM at the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester.

The event will feature live music from The Blue Sky Band, beer from Victory Brewing Company, food by The Meat House, a silent auction, car corral, and Porsche and Maserati test-drives.

A VIP event will be held prior to “Wings and Wheels” from 5-6:30 PM at Vanguard ID Systems, which is adjacent to the American Helicopter Museum. For only an additional $25, VIP ticketholders will enjoy:

• test-drives of high-performance cars courtesy of RDS Automotive Group
• exclusive ride along in a McLaren or Lamborghini
• appetizers and cocktails
• tastings of spirits by Manatawny Distilling Company
• entertainment by DJ Moore Music

The first 50 people to sign up for VIP tickets will be entered into a raffle to be driven to and from the event by Porsche of the Main Line.

Since 1997, Wings for Success has helped nearly 12,000 women, and its actions are guided by an ongoing commitment to assist women in need by providing guidance, support, and work-appropriate apparel.

“The history of Wings for Success reads a bit like the children’s book The Little Engine That Could,” said Jill Laufenberg, Executive Director of Wings for Success. “As a local organization run by a small paid staff and supported by hundreds of volunteers, we have nevertheless helped thousands of women in need overcome great personal obstacles, regain their confidence, and achieve the extraordinary.”
