Known as the Beer Train, SEPTA’s Paoli-Thorndale Line an Ideal Way to Visit Some Great Craft Breweries

By

SEPTA’s Paoli-Thorndale Line, sometimes referred to as the Beer Train, presents an ideal way to check out some of the best craft breweries in the region, writes Nick Vadala for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Chester County portion of the bar crawl starts with La Cabra Brewing in Berwyn. The brewery’s highly coveted beers range in style from Baltic porters to Belgian wits.

Next is Locust Lane Craft Brewery in Malvern. It offers themed flights that showcase its beer based on style and seasonality.

World of Beer in Exton offers more than 50 beers on tap and eight coolers filled with canned offerings. Stolen Sun Craft Brewing & Roasting, also in Exton, surprises and delights with some of its unusual brews like Unicorn Tarts, made with Pop-Tarts.

Victory Brewpub in Downingtown is an ideal place to try some of the brewery’s more experimental beers, such as the Longwood Oro Blanco made with grapefruit from Longwood Gardens.

Finally, Station Taproom in Downingtown is the perfect spot to end the beer-tasting journey. It offers a 12-tap draft list that is one of the most interesting along the Paoli-Thorndale Line.
