The Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic is here.

The iconic event takes place today on the streets of West Chester and offers a wide range of exciting racing action and family-focused festivities.

“It’s like NASCAR on bikes – really fast and fun,” said Mark Yoder, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic. “It’s a great family event. It’s free, and we do that because we want families to come out and have a great day in downtown West Chester.”

Yoder stressed that there will be plenty of parking in the borough.

“You can park in all of the garages,” he said. “They will have a one-time charge. I recommend getting here early and getting one of those spaces in the garage.”

The Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic greatly benefits the business community in and around West Chester.

“This event brings anywhere between 10,000 and 20,000 people to the borough and creates over $160,000 of economic impact,” Yoder said. “We’ve heard from a lot of restaurants that are booked up for weeks in advance.”
