Ginny Martino, the women’s lacrosse coach at West Chester University, has been named the 2019 IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association) Coach of the Year for Division II’s Atlantic Region.

Martino guided the Golden Rams to their second consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference regular-season and postseason tournament titles.

She also led the team to a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the 13th time in its 20 years of existence and engineered a run to the national championship game for the 10th time.

Martino was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II Coach of the Year for her efforts, which included a 20-3 record this season.

The 20 victories tied WCU’s single-season mark set by the 2008 national champions, who were also coached by Martino.
