VisionCorps, a nonprofit that empowers people who are blind or vision-impaired to attain independence, has entered into a partnership with the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce to occupy a location in the borough.

Centrally located in Chester County, the office space is part of the chamber’s building and will enable VisionCorps to enhance its ability to provide services to its local clients.

“I am quite proud to welcome VisionCorps to Chester County and specifically to our offices in downtown West Chester,” said Mark Yoder, President and CEO of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. “It is our goal to assist them with their mission to better serve the Chester County residents who are blind or vision-impaired. I am extremely impressed with their commitment to our community and excited to share in their dedication to making a difference for the residents of Pennsylvania who suffer from vision loss.”

Since 1926, VisionCorps has been empowering Pennsylvania residents with vision loss to attain independence through employment opportunities and rehabilitation services. VisionCorps’ offering of rehabilitation services includes:

  • Orientation & Mobility
  • Case Management
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Low Vision Therapy
  • Access Technology Instruction
  • Preventative Vision Screenings
  • Youth Services Programming

“The location was chosen to help VisionCorps better serve the needs of Chester County residents who are blind or vision-impaired and reflects our investment in this vibrant community,” said Dennis Steiner, President and CEO of VisionCorps. “We are excited to continue establishing deeper roots in the area and look forward to serving Chester County for years to come.”
