Friends Association addresses the needs of a wide range of families – from those who are experiencing homelessness to those who only need rental assistance for a limited time – and helps them stabilize their lives.

The West Chester-based nonprofit’s supply of grocery-store gift cards recently diminished when five new families entered its Emergency Family Shelter around the same time. Multiple families are now in need of gift cards for food and gas. During the summer, school-age children are not receiving the two meals they regularly receive in school.

Friends Association is in urgent need of gift cards from Giant and Wawa. If you are able to donate these items, please bring them to the Friends Association’s office at 113 West Chestnut Street any weekday between 9 AM and 4:30 PM.

In 2018, 756 unique households were placed on the emergency shelter queues in Chester County. This includes 185 families.
