MacElree Harvey

The law firm has announced the election and promotion of Patrick J. Boyer and Kristen R. Matthews to Partner.

Boyer came to the firm from the Delaware Family court. He began his career in family law before joining MacElree Harvey’s Centreville, Del., office in 2013. A leader in his field, he was named head of the Family Law section in the Delaware State Bar Association. During his tenure with MacElree Harvey, he has made significant contributions to the firm and its clients.

Matthews joined the firm’s Estates department in September 2014. She has earned recognition for her outstanding accomplishments, both at the firm and in the community. In 2015, she was awarded #1 Top Lawyer in the Elder Law category by Main Line Today. She is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA).

Chet Blair

Church Farm School

Chet Blair has joined the college preparatory school for boys in grades 9-12 in Exton as its new Director of Student Life. Blair has more than 20 years of experience working with students, most recently having spent 14 years at The Shipley School as Director of Diversity and Student Life and Associate Director of Admissions. He has also worked in urban education in Philadelphia and Wilmington.

Blair is an advocate for students seeking opportunity and instilling in them the tools to realize their potential. He believes in doing what is best for each student, meeting their individual needs, and inspiring them to be successful learners and productive citizens within their community. Blair is a former college basketball player and Hall of Fame inductee at West Chester University (Class of 1997).

“Chet brings experience, energy, charisma, and devotion to an exceptional program on the move,” said The Rev. Ned Sherrill, CFS’s Head of School. “Church Farm School’s outstanding record of success and continuing commitment to excellence will only expand with his wisdom and experience.”

“I’m very excited to join the CFS community and looking forward to supporting these amazing students as we move forward together,” said Blair.

University of Valley Forge

The university will join the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year. This move is expected to enhance the overall student-athlete experience by aligning UVF with other small, private universities and colleges and providing more balanced conference competition.

“We are very excited to partner with the CSAC, where we feel our university aligns well with the current conference institutions and provides us with great competition,” said UVF president Rev. David S. Kim. “We are honored by the invitation and want to thank each of the CSAC members for extending us the offer.”

UVF will be the 11th member of the conference, which consists of Bryn Athyn College, Cairn University, Cedar Crest College, Centenary University, Clarks Summit University, The College of Saint Elizabeth, Keystone College, Notre Dame of Maryland University, Rosemont College, and Wilson College.
