Downingtown native Ian Miller – a member of the Tacoma (Wash.) Rainiers, a minor-league affiliate of the Seattle Mariners – recently showcased his talents at the Triple-A All-Star Game, according to a report from the Staten Island Advance.

For Miller, a Bishop Shanahan High School graduate who played collegiately at Wagner, this was his second all-star game selection and first at the Triple-A level. He was previously selected for the 2017 Texas League All-Star Game (Double-A).

“It’s cool to be appreciated and rewarded for doing pretty well,” Miller told the Tacoma News Tribune. “It’s cool to be here representing the Mariners.”

Miller, a two-time All-Northeast Conference performer at Wagner, has been enjoying a good season. The outfielder is batting .285 with seven home runs and 41 RBI. He has a .464 slugging percentage and also leads the Pacific Coast League with 23 steals.
