Downingtown West High School quarterback Will Howard has ended his recruitment after deciding to commit to Kansas State, writes Brian Dohn for 247Sports.

“The offense is very similar to the one I run at my high school,” Howard said, noting that the team’s pro-style offense will be ideal in preparing him for the NFL. “I feel like I will fit well into the system.”

Another reason for his decision was the Kansas State community. He immediately clicked with the other players during his official visit to the university and developed an immediate bond with coach Chris Klieman and quarterback coach Collin Klein.

“All of the coaches are so genuine and were so real to me throughout the whole process,” said Howard. “I was able to develop really great relationships with them and had a great time with them on my official visit.”

The coaches also showed Howard that they care about more than just football and wanted to get to know him as a person. This stood out to him, as it highlighted who they are as people, not just as coaches.

“It showed me how much they genuinely care about their players and recruits,” Howard said.
