AmerisourceBergen is among the Top 10 on the Fortune 500 list, while five more Chester County companies rank among the Top 1,000, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

At No. 10, the Chesterbrook-based distributor of pharmaceutical products moved up two spots as its revenue increased by close to 10 percent to $16.7 billion. The revenue growth was helped by overall market growth, fast sales of expensive cancer drugs, and growth in its veterinary medicine business.

Genesis HealthCare is next on the list at No. 543. The company based in Kennett Square dropped from No. 504 due to a 7.4 percent decrease in revenue. This brought its total to $4.97 billion.

Berwyn-based Ametek follows at No. 552. The manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices saw its revenues rise by 12.7 percent to $4.8 billion.

Triumph Group, also from Berwyn, is at No. 728. Its revenues dropped by 9.5 percent to $3.2 billion.

Meanwhile, Vishay Intertechnology of Malvern ranked at No. 759. The company made $3.03 billion in 2018 thanks to a 16.6 percent increase in revenue.

Finally, Wayne’s Teleflex ranked at No. 870 with $2.44 billion in revenue.
