A career as a paralegal can be as satisfying as a career as a lawyer, and it can be achieved in just a fraction of the time and cost.
With a similarly advanced understanding of the legal system, paralegals assume much of a lawyer’s workload and play a critical role in the delivery of legal services.
Hiring more paralegals has been vital for law firms aiming to increase the efficiency of their services while lowering their expenses. Therefore, the demand for skilled paralegals is skyrocketing, which is ultimately ensuring that a career as one is as well-paying as it is fulfilling.
Widener University Delaware Law School, the only law school in the First State, is helping to prepare paralegals to fill these positions. On Saturday, March 9 from 10 AM-12 PM, it will host a Paralegal Program Open House at the Polishook Hall Atrium located at 4601 Concord Pike in Wilmington.
Widener University Delaware Law School’s Paralegal program, which has been approved by the American Bar Association, offers students the choice of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate. (The latter can be acquired in just one summer and can be used to jumpstart a legal career in the fall.)
By earning an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, you can also earn a paralegal studies certificate of completion, at no additional cost, in one the following concentrations:
- criminal law
- corporate law
- health law
- estate administration law
- intellectual property law
Widener University Delaware Law School’s dedicated faculty and administrators have a true open-door policy and are dedicated to each student’s success. ParalegalEDU named Widener University Delaware Law School the Top Paralegal Bachelor Program and Best Post-Degree Certificate in 2018.
