CEO of Fast-Growing, Berwyn-Based Franchise: ‘Veterans an Underestimated Pool of Talent’

Berwyn-based JDog Junk Removal and Hauling, which is dedicated to creating post-military career opportunities for veterans, is expanding its services by adding JDog Carpet Cleaning, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

The company was founded eight years ago by Jerry Flanagan, an Army veteran, and his wife Tracy. It has now grown to more than 200 active franchises owned and operated by veterans and military family members in 31 states, with another 300 franchises expected to open in the near future.

According to Flanagan, the company’s success is proof that consumers are willing and eager to support veteran-led businesses.

“Veterans have long been an underestimated and overlooked pool of talent for the economy,” he said.

Now, the new service line is expecting to add at least 500 more franchises over the next decade.

“We think it is a reasonable number to get to,” said Flanagan.

In addition to the new service line, the company has formed JDog Brands to be an umbrella for the company’s expanding portfolio of franchise opportunities.
