CCIUThe Chester County Intermediate Unit provides services, such as special education and staff development programs, to the 12 school districts in Chester County, including nearly 86,000 public and non-public school students and more than 6,000 educators.

Core Team Member – Curriculum & Instruction

This position provides technical assistance in the curriculum and instruction area to engage school leaders and school-based teams in a continuous improvement process; supports teams in completing a facilitated self-assessment process; and helps create plans of action.

School Improvement Facilitator

This position supports schools in Pennsylvania’s Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) School Improvement initiative by helping develop, implement, and monitor improvement plans based on evidence-based practices and facilitating self-assessment processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s or doctorate degree in education; a minimum of five years of experience serving as a building principal, central office administrator, and/or similar school leadership position; and experience serving as a facilitator for school teams.

Special Education Teacher

This position instructs individuals and groups in special education skill areas; plans curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods; develops IEPs addressing specific student needs; and supports the objectives and interventions of the educational program.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in education and elementary education certification; emotional support experience at the K-2 elementary school level; and valid Pennsylvania certification in Special Education.
