A new SpringHill Suites by Marriott, located at the intersection of Eagleview Boulevard and Route 100 in Exton, opened shortly before Christmas.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony in the hotel’s lobby on Wednesday night, however, made it official.

The five-story, 123-suite hotel is named SpringHill Suites Philadelphia West Chester/Exton. It operates as a Marriott franchise, owned by Hankin Group and managed by SEPA Associates, a Philadelphia-based, third-party operating affiliate of GF Management.

“One of the greatest gifts that we’ve had at GF Management is our partnership with the Hankin Group,” said Andrew Tod, Executive Vice President at GF Management. “We believe in their attention to detail and the fact that they are first class and only first class.”

“We really like to think about having a positive impact in the community, in what we build and how we build it,” said Bob Hankin, CEO of Hankin Group.

Marchuan Mosley, the new hotel’s general manager, gave a donation check to Anne Shuniak, the marketing and communications manager of the Chester County Food Bank, to show SpringHill’s support of the nonprofit’s mission.

The new hotel offers a little extra space with suites larger than a typical hotel room. Separate living, working, and sleeping spaces provide guests with flexibility and functionality. From the guest rooms to the lobby, every aspect of design – from furniture and lighting to colors and fabrics – has been carefully selected to offer calm and refreshing spaces to allow guests to relax and recharge.
