VISTA.Today Top Stories of 2018

By

When I launched VISTA.Today with the help of the Chester County Economic Development Council in 2014, I knew Chester County had a lot of untold stories to share. I knew there were countless stories in the local, regional, national, and sometimes international media that weren’t being seen, read, shared, or discussed.

What I didn’t know is if anyone besides news nerds like me really cared. Did Chester County residents want to read stories about what the media was writing about local corporate and nonprofit treasures like QVC, Vanguard, and Longwood Gardens?

Was anyone interested in tracking the continuing revitalization of town centers like West Chester, Kennett Square, Phoenixville, Malvern, Paoli, Chesterbrook, or even Coatesville?

Who cared about where Chester County leaders grew up, what kind of music they listened to in high school, where they went to college, or what was the best piece of advice they ever received?

Judging from our 2018 numbers, the people who live, work, learn, and play in Chester County do care!

Through yesterday (Dec. 25), VISTA.Today drew 1.8 million unique visitors who viewed more than 7.3 million Chester County stories, profiles, polls, announcements, picture galleries, and calendar events!

Beginning with our story about West Chester being named America’s top college town, this morning’s e-mail includes this year top stories.

Thank you for making 2018 such a remarkable year for me and my team. We love what we do and appreciate the few minutes you take out of each morning and afternoon to stay abreast of the news that celebrates Chester County’s quality of place!

If you keep opening up our e-mails and clicking on stories, I promise you we’ll keep sharing Chester County’s story as it unfolds every day.
