The Philadelphia Union is a professional soccer team based in Chester that has competed in Major League Soccer as a member of the Eastern Conference since 2010. The Union recently unveiled its first mascot: Phang.

Accounting Director

This position manages all aspects of day-to-day accounting for the team, including overseeing accounting policies, systems, processes, and financial reporting; monitors and manages all banking functions and accounts; and provides regular cash flow reports to maintain projected cash needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and an MBA or CPA certification; a minimum of five to seven years of related work experience; strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft office; and professional sports and/or events facilities experience.

Mascot

This position fulfills appearance requests around the community, including team events, hospital and school visits, soccer clinics, and charitable events; acts as a brand ambassador for the team; and creates memorable experiences by greeting fans, energizing the crowd, and more.

The ideal candidate will possess previous mascot experience and an animated personality with good interpersonal communication skills; will be between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot-0 and weigh between 140 and 200 pounds; and will be highly energetic, communicative, and athletic.

Executive Director (Philadelphia Union Foundation) and Community Relations Manager

This position leads day-to-day projects by brainstorming, organizing, planning, and executing Foundation fundraising and programming; manages the Foundation board, including member composition and running quarterly meetings; and ideates, budgets, and executes community programs.

The ideal candidate will possess experience as an executive director at a nonprofit with decision making responsibility; three to five years of experience in community relations management and charitable fundraising; and a strong marketing background, including driving media coverage.
