Chester County Commissioner Kathi Cozzone, who is currently in her third term, is seeking re-election to the Board of Commissioners, according to a report from the Daily Local News.

“I am honored the citizens of Chester County have put their trust in me over the last 11 years and would be privileged to continue to serve the county,” said Cozzone.

In addition to being one of the three commissioners, Cozzone will also serve as president of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania for next year.

In announcing her re-election bid, the lone Democrat on the three-member board listed her accomplishments, including having a pivotal role in the Workforce Development of Chester County. She has also been active in the local community through her position on a number of other boards.

Also a band mom, Cozzone is one of a dedicated group of parents who help fundraise to support music programs in the Downingtown Area School District.

“It’s been my passion to make government work for the people who are less fortunate,” she said. “I am excited for the opportunity to continue to serve the citizens of Chester County.”
