The Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry will host its 2019 Small Business Awards Breakfast and Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 7:30-9:30 AM at the Downingtown Country Club.

The event is designed to spotlight the very important role that small businesses have in Chester County’s economy.

The CCCBI will honor Carvertise and its co-founder, Greg Star, with the Small Business of the Year Award. Carvertise brings together everyday car drivers who want to earn extra money advertising for a brand they support and companies who want a unique and effective medium to promote their image. The startup has now grown into a medium-sized business serving clients across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

Surrey Services for Seniors and CEO Robert Madonna will receive the CCCBI’s Nonprofit of the Year Award. Surrey is based in Devon with additional locations in Havertown, Broomall, and Media and helps older adults live with independence and dignity and continue as engaged members of the community. The nonprofit’s work has effectively strengthened it and raised its profile in the region.

On rare occasions, the chamber honors individuals whose leadership, efforts, and service have impacted the community in unparalleled ways. It presents these leaders with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

This year, the CCCBI will honor brothers Dallas and Dale Krapf of Krapf School Bus with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Established in 1942 to provide pupil transportation for local municipalities, Krapf School Bus is a family-owned business that has grown to become one of the largest private providers of contracted school bus transportation in the nation.
