Joe Monnich, the chef and owner of Al Pastor in the Eagleview Town Center, recently shared his exercise routine with Philadelphia magazine, writes Caroline Cunningham for the magazine.

Monnich currently has two health club memberships, one at $149 a month at Fearless Athletics and the other at $150 a month at Fearless Athletics. He uses them to keep in shape for his busy job running multiple restaurants.

On Monday, he drinks a quick fruit smoothie before doing CrossFit. He breaks his workout into three sections: a warmup followed by strength exercises and a conditioning workout. On Tuesday, he heads to Life Time to do some rowing, rope exercises, and a treadmill run.

On Wednesday, he takes an Express Warrior Sculpt Class at Life Time, which he says is his toughest class of the week. According to Monnich, it’s even tougher than the Fearless Intensity Workout he does at Fearless Athletics on Thursday. He winds down on Friday with just a treadmill run and light exercises.

“An active and healthy lifestyle is the only way I am able to balance the everyday grind of life,” said Monnich.
