Tech360 is the Philly ‘burbs’ premier innovative business technology conference where IT professionals, thought leaders, and industry innovators from the area’s top companies discuss how to best leverage the latest technology in today’s business climate.

This year is the 6^th annual conference which is organized by the Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG) and Ideas x Innovation Network (i2n) which are both initiatives of the Chester County Economic Development Council.

This year’s theme is The Societal Impacts of Technology – As we create, explore, implement and use new technologies, what is the impact on the workplace and society?

Moderated by Eric Barnes HRIS Systems Manager at Wawa, the opening keynote is Technology’s Influence and Impact on Today’s Corporate Strategy, Organization and Employees. 

This panel discussion brings a diverse group of business executives, strategists and technologists to discuss their thoughts on creating synergy among all business units, how to effectively incorporate technology to create and maintain a competitive advantage to result in the best customer and employee experiences and how Digital Business is impacting our world today.

Other topics include: virtual reality/augmented reality, autonomous vehicles, predictive intelligence, blockchain, the impact of IT on Healthcare, and for the entrepreneurs, attracting venture capital.

Did you Know . . ?  Analysis by the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia shows that more than 102,000 people in the region work in IT occupations and area employers have added 25,000 new tech jobs since 2002 — equivalent to 25 percent of all net job growth during that period.

Projections indicate that over the next ten years, our region could see 26,000-44,000 job openings in IT, between new jobs and replacement openings as workers retire.  With an ever-changing tech industry we have to stay on the leading edge; even with all the advances in the past 2 decades we still have both tech and people challenges that haven’t been solved such as a workforce that still faces issues related to diversity and having a qualified pipeline of candidates.

That’s why it’s so important that we come together today for education and networking which is the purpose of today’s conference.
