Video Tells the Story Behind the World Trade Center Tridents Returning Home to Coatesville

By

When the World Trade Center was attacked on Sept. 11, 2001, the base structures of the towers, also known as tridents or trees, were left standing.

Those same structures were manufactured in Coatesville by the Lukens Steel Company.

Not long after the tragedy, the Graystone Society proposed the idea of bringing those tridents back to Coatesville.

In this video, Scott Huston and Eugene DiOrio discuss the story of the tridents coming home, where they’re now on display at the National Iron & Steel Heritage Museum.
