WCU Adds First Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer

Dr. Tracey Ray

West Chester University has added Tracey Ray as its first chief diversity and inclusion officer, according to a report from the Daily Local News.

Ray, who was appointed by President Christopher Fiorentino, assumed her role in May. She will lead WCU’s diversity and inclusion efforts by overseeing and coordinating campus-wide efforts to improve, promote, and support an inclusive educational community and workplace environment.

Ray has a Ph.D. in social psychology, and brings nearly two decades of administrative and teaching experience at the college level to her new role.

She most recently served as the assistant vice provost in the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity at N.C. State.
