Pennsylvania Distilling opened its doors last week in Malvern after a nearly year-long delay, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The distillery at 50 Three Tun Road is open on Thursdays from 4-11 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 12-11 PM, and Sundays from 12-9 PM.

The staff is currently comprised of the owners – brothers-in-law Richard Buoni and Joseph Amoroso – and two bartenders, with more hires planned soon.

The distillery currently produces four spirits: unaged rye whiskey, vodka, gin, and rum. The spirits are only available on site, but the owners have plans to sell them in retail stores.

Pennsylvania Distilling has a goal of producing 1,000 cases its first year and twice that in the future.

“Our strategy will be to stay local,” said Buoni.
