Hankin Group Awarded Pair of Top Honors from Commercial Real Estate Industry

By

Hankin Group, a full-service real estate development and management company based in Exton, was recently honored with a pair of TOBY Awards, the most prestigious awards in the commercial real estate industry, at the Middle Atlantic Conference of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo, N.Y.

TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) Awards are given for the highest quality in building design and unmatched excellence in building management. Industry professionals conduct an on-site inspection of the buildings, and judging is based on a range of criteria that includes:

  • community impact
  • sustainability
  • tenant/employee relations programs
  • energy management systems
  • accessibility for the disabled
  • building personnel training programs

Hankin Group earned a TOBY Award in two divisions: one for 707 Eagleview Boulevard, which captured the top honor for “under 100,000 square feet,” and the other for 505 Eagleview Boulevard, which took the top honor for “100,000-249,000 square feet.”

BOMA’s Middle Atlantic Region, better known as MAC or the Middle Atlantic Conference, is comprised of 16 local associations with a combined membership in excess of 3,500 members covering 11 states and the District of Columbia.

Hankin Group’s two buildings qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference honors by first winning awards at BOMA’s Philadelphia Conference held last fall. Now, after having won TOBY Awards at MAC, 707 and 505 Eagleview Boulevard qualify for possible recognition at BOMA’s International Conference, to be held in late June in San Antonio.

The former, 707 Eagleview, is a four-story, class A building in Exton. The 83,000-square-foot building is an impressive business address that caters to every modern-day business need. The main lobby boasts a two-story atrium with stainless steel-wrapped columns, wood paneling, limestone floors, and a tranquil water feature. The second-floor lobby features a soft sitting area overlooking the fountain on the main floor, and the fourth-floor lobby features a large skylight and planted green wall. The parking area features a dual car-charging station. This Energy Star-rated building features solar panels that generate 12 percent of the building’s power usage.

The latter, 505 Eagleview Boulevard, is a five-story, 152,000-square-foot building that has LEED and Energy Star Certifications and is equipped with solar panels that supply 10 percent of the building’s power. Just inside the vestibule, you’ll notice a two-story glass wall at the far end of the lobby that forms a panoramic view of a 10-acre pond and wetlands area with resident wildlife. The interior lobby consists of a quarry tile floor, black marble two-story wall, and two black tile reflective pools. Outside the atrium is a patio seating area with umbrella tables, an exterior fountain, and landscaped gardens.

“While our company has always been known for treating our tenants and clients well, the performance of Hankin Property Management has reached a new level of capability and execution,” said Robert Hankin, CEO of Hankin Group. “I see it every day when I receive compliments about our organization and operations. I am really proud to be part of such an amazing team.”
