Bauer Financial assigns its ratings on a scale of zero to five stars, with five being the strongest, that reflect the overall financial strength of the institution. Quarterly rankings are based on call report data that is reported to the federal regulators. With Five Stars being superior, any institutions ranked with Four or Five Stars are highly recommended by Bauer Financial.

First Resource Bank’s year-end report for 2017 showed a successful year with record earnings. During 2017, the bank’s:
- net income grew by 32 percent
- total interest income grew by 15 percent
- non-interest-bearing deposits grew by 33 percent
It also sold $4.1 million in common stock in 2017.
