Wayne’s Evolve IP Expands Reach Overseas with Sixth Acquisition in Last Two Years

By

Evolve IP, The Cloud Strategy Company based in Wayne, has acquired thevoicefactory, a U.K.-based cloud communications provider, writes Michelle Caffrey in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The acquisition is Evolve IP’s sixth since private equity firm Great Hill Partners took a majority stake in the company in May 2016. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Since it was founded 10 years ago, Evolve IP has made more than a dozen acquisitions. However, only about 30 percent of its revenue stems from mergers and acquisitions, according to CEO Guy Fardone. About 70 percent of its revenue is from organic growth, he said.

The thinking behind this and other acquisitions is to capture talent, geographic reach, and intellectual property.

“This immediately gives us close to 70,000 users in the U.K. and Europe,” Fardone said. “They’re a sizable organization and one of the leading providers of cloud services within the U.K.”

Evolve IP is especially strong in serving the hospitality and automotive industries. Cloud adoption in the U.K. is also about five years behind the U.S., giving the company the chance to establish market dominance early on in the adoption process.
