Citadel Country Spirit USA

Citadel is the title sponsor of a new, three-day country music festival coming to Chester County’s Brandywine Valley from Aug. 24-26.

Citadel Country Spirit USA, being held at Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show Grounds in Glenmoore, will feature more than 20 country music artists on two stages, including three top headliners. While great music is the main attraction, concert-goers will be treated to a spectacular festival experience, a country music celebration with an array of activities, food, and libations.

Hosted by the Chester County Conference and Visitors Bureau, thousands of fans from across the nation are projected to attend. The venue has a capacity of 15,000.

Family Promise of Southern Chester County

FPSCC, a volunteer-driven nonprofit committed to helping families experiencing homelessness, has hired Omar Henriquez as its new case manager. Henriquez will guide families through their housing crisis by providing the tools and encouragement to regain their housing and employment and become fully and permanently self-sufficient.

“Knowing there are children right here in our community that don’t have a place to call home keeps me up at night,” said Henriquez. “Every child deserves a home. I am honored to carry out Family Promise’s mission.”

“Omar brings to Family Promise a diverse set of skills and expertise needed to help families struggling with homelessness find their path back to stability,” said Susan Minarchi, FPSCC’s executive director. “Family Promise is not just a job; it’s a calling. Omar will be instrumental in restoring a family’s hopes and dreams for a brighter future.”

Landscapes3

As part of the ongoing development of Landscapes3, Chester County’s next long-range comprehensive plan, county officials are seeking public input on the draft map, goals, and objectives. In addition to being available for review and comment online, the Chester County Planning Commission will be inviting feedback during a series of public meetings this spring.

“We encourage county residents and municipal officials to attend the Landscapes3 public meetings and share their thoughts on the draft map, goals, and objectives,” said Chester County Commissioner Terence Farrell. “We value the input we receive when we engage with communities, and that feedback will shape Chester County for years to come.”
