Iron Hill Brewery – which has locations in West Chester, Phoenixville, and Media – plans to release a new canned beer each month for the foreseeable future, writes Alison Burdo for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The first brew available in cans is Rising Sun, a single-hopped IPA. Next month will see the debut of Bedotter, a traditional Belgian-style golden ale, and Ore House IPA.

The beers will be available for sale at Iron Hill locations. Going forward, the company expects to be able to maintain a release schedule of at least one new type of beer per month.

All three beers that will be introduced to the brewery’s customers in January and February will have a new look designed by Smith Brothers Agency. The design of the label has become an increasingly important factor in the brewing industry.

“Even the major manufacturers are getting into the game as they produce supposedly niche brands with distinctive bottles that mask the true relation,” said Michael Solomon, professor of marketing at Saint Joseph’s University.
