Community Volunteers in Medicine

Impact100 Philadelphia, a women’s philanthropy group, has granted CVIM, a West Chester-based nonprofit, $100,000 in funding for its work in providing healthcare to the uninsured.

“Seeing CVIM in action was a beautiful reminder to me of the power of community coming together,” said Carolyn Ashburn of Impact100 Philadelphia. “It was inspiring to see how many medical volunteers have come together – supported by local hospitals – to provide free medical services.

“We can’t take organizations like CVIM for granted. Where would our community be without them?”

CVIM treated approximately 4,000 different patients during 41,416 visits last year.
