Integrated Technology Firm in Wayne Expands into Center City

Weidenhammer, an integrated technology firm with an office in Wayne, has expanded its presence in the region with a new office in Center City.

Weidenhammer – an integrated technology firm with an office in Wayne that helps companies grow faster, smarter, and more profitable – has expanded its presence in the region with a new office in Center City, writes Roberto Torres for Technical.ly Philly.

Currently staffed with just four employees, the office at WeWork’s 1601 Market Street office is expected to grow to a team of around 20 over the next two years. Until now, the multi-service firm had worked with its Philadelphia clients out of its Chester County office in Wayne.

“Rather than put our people through commuting, we thought it’d be easier to be here and take Uber or public transit to visit clients,” said CEO John Weidenhammer.

Another motive that prompted the company to set up shop directly in Philadelphia was to get easier access to the city’s pool of technical talent.

“That should benefit our business as we try to grow,” said Weidenhammer. “Our sales are up 14 percent year-over-year, but we think that we can grow more by adding more staff with critical skills.”

He also referred to the new office as a “high-profile location” because of its proximity to City Hall and other nearby amenities. He also pointed out that the biggest advantage of the new location is the opportunity to expand into more space as needed.
