Developers ‘Bullish on Exton’ as Whiteland Towne Center Changes Ownership

By

A joint venture of Gorman & Company and Abrams Realty & Development has acquired the Whiteland Towne Center from Equus Capital Partners for an undisclosed amount, writes Brian McCullough for the Daily Local News.

The shopping center in the heart of Exton is home to stores such as Kohl’s and Hobby Lobby. It was built three decades ago across Route 100 from Exton Mall.

Jim Gorman and Chris Knauer, the principals of Gorman, are partnering up with Jefferson Apartment Group to break ground on a luxury apartment complex just a mile away from the shopping center.

The 291-unit complex named Parkview is one of several large, multi-family projects that are currently under construction in the area.

“We are obviously bullish on Exton,” said Gorman. “Whiteland Towne Center represents an opportunity to reposition an asset we know well. Abrams is the perfect partner to help us execute this.”
