The Brandywine Realty Trust has sold a 12-acre parcel near Vanguard’s headquarters in Malvern to an affiliate of LCOR, the Berwyn-based real estate developer, for $7.2 million, writes Jacob Adelman for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The sale was disclosed in Brandywine Realty’s quarterly financial report. It was included as part of the $459.3 million in property sales it has received so far this year.

According to documents filed with the Chester County recorder’s office, the property at 50 East Swedesford Square was acquired by Swedesford Square Apartments on Sept. 12.

LCOR plans to construct a pair of four-story buildings on the site that will contain a total of 244 apartments. It will also build a 7,000-square-foot clubhouse that will include a fitness center and a screening room. These will be just some of the many upscale amenities that the residential developer plans to include as part of the development.

LCOR is also searching for a joint venture partner for the project with the help of New York-based BlueGate Partners.
