Great Valley High School Grad Set for Broadway Debut
The woman behind the costume of Glinda the Good Witch is making dreams come true for herself.
After a 16-month, nationwide tour of the show Wicked, Great Valley High School alumna Amanda Jane Cooper’s magic is sending her not to Kansas but to Broadway.
Cooper’s Broadway debut came in the same Wicked costume on July 31 at the Gershwin Theatre in Manhattan, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report by David Patrick Stearns.
Now 29, Cooper’s path to Broadway has taken her from Malvern to Carnegie Mellon University, then the big screen and now the big stage. Her career highlights include appearances on popular television shows Glee and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, as well as the movies Smart People and Sutures, the article explained.
