Downingtown residents now have a cozy new place to drink coffee and socialize after the soft opening of The Farmhouse coffee shop and bakery, writes Ginger Dunbar for the Daily Local News.
“We believe that Downingtown really needed a coffee place where you could go get a delicious cookie or a muffin,” said Dana Petrizzio, who co-owns The Farmhouse with her husband Pete.

The nearly 4,000-square-foot café at 115 West Lancaster Avenue has been lovingly renovated by the pair. The space now offers customers a choice of 60 seats and a separate rentable private room. The café also includes free Wi-Fi, and there is a television and wireless printer in the private room.
According to the owners, the café is designed with both families and business people in mind. Before the opening, the Petrizzios had already received a lot of support from people in the neighborhood who were eager to taste their products.
“The support that Downingtown showed us validated that this was the right place to go,” said Dana.
