MacElree Harvey has announced that Jess M. Simon has joined the firm’s Employment practice as an Of Counsel.

She will divide her time between the firm’s West Chester and new Bala Cynwyd offices.

For nearly 30 years, Simon has practiced exclusively in the area of labor and employment law. She has tremendous experience in a broad range of employment matters involving federal and state regulations, including the litigation of wage and hour, noncompete, discrimination, whistleblowing, and trade secrets cases in Pennsylvania.

She also counsels employers on many issues that touch the workplace, including:

• hiring and retaining employees
• employee discipline and discharge
• the complexities related to disability, reasonable accommodation, and leave law and compliance
• drafting employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, and severance agreements
• developing and drafting workplace policies, procedures, and handbooks
• conducting employment-related investigations

Simon has an AV Preeminent Rating in Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings, the highest legal ability and ethical standards rating. A graduate of Penn Law School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Politics and Philosophy from Pitt.

The new Bala Cynwyd office joins MacElree Harvey’s four other offices in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
