Niche.com has released its 2017 List of the Best Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania, and 10 schools in Chester County made Greater Philadelphia’s Top 25, according to a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Niche.com, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, has expanded upon the test-score-based grading system used by the state by adding several more factors into the equation. It included assessments by parents and students, student life data, and rankings of teachers, as well as ratings based on culture and diversity.

According to this year’s data, the best elementary school in not only Greater Philadelphia but all of Pennsylvania is Berwyn’s Hillside Elementary, due to its exceptional rating in academics, teachers, and its students’ 94 percent reading proficiency.
