Kennett Square’s successful nationwide PowerBack Rehabilitation business is flexing new muscle just up the road in Exton, where Genesis HealthCare broke ground this week on its newest rehab facility.

The $19 million project has officially begun to rise on six acres in the Oaklands Corporate Center, according to a Daily Local News report by Brian McCullough.

In mid-2018, Genesis HealthCare is aiming to open the 74,000-square-foot facility with 120 new suites, a state-of-the-art therapy gym, spa services, a movie theater, a game room, walking trails, and bistros.

“They are committing not only to the community’s physical health but to its economic health as well by adding 250 jobs,” said Chester County Economic Development Council Senior Vice President of Business Development Services MaryFrances McGarrity.

The luxury setting for aggressive rehab of adults recovering from surgeries, strokes, accidents, and more is being constructed by Malvern’s Norwood Co..
