BIC 2017 Logo - Purple and GoldThe Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is helping light the fuse that will spark creative genius within the area’s business scene.

GWCC members can join with SCORE clients, West Chester high schoolers and West Chester University faculty, staff, alumni and students in a battle to uncover the best new business concepts through the 5th Annual WCU Business Idea Competition.

Thousands of dollars in prizes await the winners of four competitive divisions: high school, undergraduate, graduate and professional.

There’s no limit to the number of ideas anyone can submit — either individually or in teams of up to six — as long as the product, service or technology hasn’t ever been commercialized and can be used as the foundation for a new business.

Submissions that encompass the idea description, its uniqueness and target market are now being accepted through March 6 by 11:59 p.m.

From there, they’ll be reviewed by business angels, entrepreneurs and business advisors, and the best ideas will be advanced as finalists in the April 19 Business Idea Pitch event at WCU.
