Inspired by Random Acts of Kindness Week, a pair of Chester County women are making some much-needed deliveries to homeless people in Philadelphia, writes Ukee Washington for CBS Philly.

Melissa Kirkpatrick and Julie Buckner have been collecting and packing essential items for the homeless as part of the Blessing Bags project, started by Buckner three years ago.

This year, they have been collecting everything from imperishable snacks to hand warmers and socks.

According to the generous duo, the feeling they get when they see the reactions of people they are helping is the best part of the experience.

Local businesses have agreed to put out bins where customers can donate to the project.
