Family Promise of Southern Chester County recently moved from the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in West Grove to its new long-term home on West Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square, thanks to the generosity of owner William McGovern, according to a Daily Local News report by Fran Maye.

“Family is at the core of who we are, and what we stand for,” McGovern said. “Partnering with Family Promise makes perfect sense because we share a common desire to help families in need.”

The nonprofit connects homeless families to about 600 volunteers who provide shelter, food, and companionship.

“I am really looking forward to this,” Executive Director Susan Minarchi said. “I think this will be an awesome home for us for a long, long time. Mr. McGovern has been very generous.”
