Investments have begun to flow toward a new vodka-based, all-natural brand of hard soda to be manufactured in Coatesville.
If sufficiently funded, Wade Keech aims to lease space in Coatesville for a distillery and tasting room to introduce his Better World Spirits brand, according to a Central Penn Business Journal report by Jason Scott.
Better World Spirits is seeking financial backing from crowdfunders through a new campaign on StartEngine, with the intention of producing three or four inaugural flavors in 12-ounce cans that would be distributed to Philly-area bars and restaurants.
Better World Spirits is also a B Corp, focused on giving back to local growers through contributions to the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture.
“Profit is not our primary goal. We are making a difference,” said Keech, an entrepreneur from York.
But to get Better World Spirits up and running at 1,000 cases per month, he’ll need investors to pitch in $100 or more.
