infusion-expressDon Peterson, CEO of the new Malvern clinic Infusion Express, is aiming to disrupt the healthcare industry by offering more options and convenience to patients with chronic illnesses, writes Taunya English for NewsWorks.

The clinic offers free parking, comfortable treatment chairs, Wi-Fi, appointments that can be made for the evening and on weekends. and can fill prescriptions faster than from a hospital.

Infusion Express is a part of a growing trend that is working toward moving outpatient services away from hospitals to standalone clinics.

The procedures are also generally less expensive, as Peterson pointed out that hospitals are allowed to charge the patient more than standalone clinics by law.

“It’s not our choice to be lower cost, it’s just the way it is,” he said.
