After the collection of generous gifts at WSFS Banks, the GWCCC presented them Wednesday to deserving nonprofits during its Holiday Toy Drive Breakfast. Above, the WSFS staff inside the St. Agnes Gymnasium.

Hard-working “elves” from West Chester area nonprofits that epitomize the spirit of the season savored the generosity of the greater community Wednesday morning when they were presented with an abundance of gifts for the families they work with during the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Toy Drive Breakfast.

The Saint Agnes School in West Chester became the destination for all the new, unwrapped gift items collected at WSFS Bank branches across Chester County and beyond, including developmental toys, books and crafts requested by The Care Center Foundation; board games, gift cards, diapers and stocking stuffers for the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center; and educational toys and games, as well as gift cards, from the lists at the Friends Assoc. for Care & Protection of Children.

This year’s WSFS Bank toy drive collection boxes were decorated by West Chester Area School District elementary students before being filled through the efforts of GWCC member businesses and generous individuals, and the Holiday Toy Drive Breakfast once again sent the toys on their way to putting smiles on the faces of children who may not be so fortunate.
