A 23-year-old Virginia entrepreneur has partnered with the property restoration leader to bring two of its franchise companies, 1-800 Water Damage and Ductz, to Chester County.

“That’s the main reason I picked this area – the support I can get from this building,” franchisee Tommy Hoopsick said in a Daily Local News report by Brian McCullough. “That, and their knowledge is at our fingertips.”

Hoopsick will launch 1-800 Water Damage out of the Belfor building on Clover Mill Road, while he sets up a new location for his family’s Ductz franchise.

Utilizing cutting-edge technology, 1-800 Water Damage extracts water, dries homes and businesses, cleans up smoke and fire damage, remediates mold, takes care of sewage, and restores carpet.

“You’re entering people’s homes at a very tense time, so you have to be sensitive to that and work with them,” Hoopsick said. “After an event, Belfor doesn’t do carpet-cleaning and upholstery. That’s where we come in.”

Ductz focuses on air-duct cleaning and HVAC restoration.
