Lola’s Dress Boutique Is Oxford Women’s Dream Come True
One had a vision to bring something new to town, and one has wanted to own a dress shop since she was a little girl. Together, three longtime Oxford women have made Lola’s a reality.
The new dress boutique on South Third Street is the result of a total makeover of a gutted former office building that’s now adorned with an extensive selection of clothes, jewelry, makeup, and accessories, according to a Daily Local News report by Chris Barber. Styles flow from elegant casual to dresses for prom and special occasions, along with designer jeans.
The creative minds behind Lola’s are Deb Bakalez, Debra Kline, and Nancy Ware Sapp, and the name Lola’s comes from the combination of Bakalez’s nickname and the acronym for Lots of Lovely Apparel.
“We go from size 0 to size 28 and serve people from age 8 to 86,” Bakalez said.
