Citadel Opens Annual Search For Chester County’s Top Teachers
While they work unceasingly to bring the best out of their students, the names of Chester County’s most dedicated teachers are being considered for one of the most prestigious teaching awards in the area.
Once again the call has gone out for nominations to the 2017 Citadel Heart of Learning Award.
“Every day, teachers show tireless dedication to enhancing the lives of our students, and these nominations reaffirm that,” Citadel Senior Vice President Michael Schnably said.
“Teachers are an essential part of what makes our communities stronger, and we are proud to celebrate them with the Citadel Heart of Learning Award.”
From all nominations submitted between now and Dec. 31, finalists who go above and beyond the call of duty from each of the 13 public schools, one from the Chester County Intermediate Unit and one from a non-public school or homeschool will receive $500 for their classroom, recognition at the May awards banquet and a chance to become one of three $1,500 winners, representing a high school, middle school and elementary school.
Citadel also awards $2,750 in prizes to the three schools that submit the most nominations.
