Saint-Gobain Awarded LEED Platinum Plaque for Its Malvern Headquarters

By

Saint-Gobain's headquarters in Malvern opened in October 2015 and features around 50 of its own building materials products and is specifically designed to be quiet, with sound muffling panels and walls throughout.

Saint-Gobain has received two LEED Platinum certifications for both the interior and exterior of its Malvern area headquarters building, writes Brian McCullough for Daily Local News.

Nearly $80 million was invested into the renovation of the 277,000-square-foot structure before employees of Saint-Gobain and its CertainTeed subsidiary moved in nearly a year ago.

Saint-Gobain’s recently completed North American headquarters sits on the northeast corner of the Route 202 and 401 interchange in East Whiteland Township.

The headquarters features around 50 products from Saint Gobain and its subsidiaries which helped it win the awards. It is specifically designed to be quiet, with sound muffling panels and walls throughout. These have already proved invaluable in areas such as the call center.

“There’s been a 150 percent increase in productivity – of incoming calls being converted into lead opportunities,” said Tamara Mueller, Saint-Gobain’s Manager of Change and Communications.

Representatives from the U.S. Green Building Council along with Delaware Valley Green Building Council members presented the plaques on September 21.

“This building is made up of a new generation of products,” commented Roger Platt, Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning for Green Business Certification. “Saint-Gobain is a huge leader globally on this.”
