Whether it’s a wide selection of drinks, a fresh and hearty menu, impressive decor or an adrenaline-pumping atmosphere, the new ownership of downtown West Chester’s Kildare’s Irish Pub has revived good old Irish hospitality for friends and strangers alike.

Dane and Stephanie Gray, along with longtime friend and West Chester local Tom Farnesi, are celebrating one year at the helm of the Gay Street establishment, and the couple has steered Kildare’s into new territory — by going two different directions.

“He doesn’t want to do what I do, and I definitely don’t want to do what he does,” Stephanie said. “It’s the perfect situation.”

While Dane has drawn up the game plan for an expansion of whiskey and cider offerings, and an overhaul of the pub’s look and feel, Stephanie has shaken up the menu with exciting new fresh, homemade dishes.

“We offer weekly specials, and the menu changes frequently,” she said. “The food offerings in the town of West Chester have come a long way, and our menu meets up with the expectations of our patrons.”

Kildare’s has also quickly become a hub for soccer action, with Dane’s and his son’s passion for the Liverpool club and other famous soccer stars on full display via a growing collection of autographed jerseys.

Check out the extensive renovations inside and outside its four walls on your next evening on the town.
