From Gawthrop Greenwood to AmerisourceBergen, Chester County was well-represented on this year’s Philadelphia Business Journal Best Places to Work list.

Chester County’s workplaces have once again risen to the top of the class. From full-service West Chester law firm Gawthrop Greenwood to global pharmaceutical services giant AmerisourceBergen, Chester County was well-represented in the Philadelphia Business Journal’s just-released Best Places to Work 2016.

Not only did the 24-plus person team at Gawthrop Greenwood grace the PBJ Best Places to Work list, but 14 of those attorneys were also named Top Lawyers this month by Main Line Today.

“This year, we had a record number of applications for Best Places to Work, and every company had to reach a statistical benchmark to be included. It’s not an easy benchmark to meet,” PBJ Editor-in-Chief Craig Ey said in announcing the list.

Also in the Philly area’s top 75 were Egalet, the 45-employee specialty pharmaceutical company in Wayne; EigenX, an Exton business environment support firm with 22 employees; and 23-person STP Investment Services, which provides services for investment managers from its Exton base.

AmerisourceBergen employs 1,039 workers in support of its Chesterbrook-headquartered specialty pharmaceutical services business.
