Over 60 people, including State Representative Harry Lewis Jr. and City Council President Linda Lavender-Norris, participated in a peace walk in Coatesville organized by Pastor Montez Jones of Judah Ministries and his congregation on Wednesday. The walk, which aimed to open a dialog and get people to show appreciation and respect to others, was in response to the shootings in Orlando as well as recent attacks on police officers.

Anne Robinson has been hired as the new chief counsel of Malvern’s Vanguard Group as her expertise in consumer marketing and branding of Wall Street-produced financial products matches Vanguard’s policy of always keeping on top of shifts in the market. Vanguard Group chairman and CEO Bill McNabb pointed out that “her expansive and varied legal experience in the financial services and consulting fields will be of great value to Vanguard and our clients.”

West Chester University announced on Friday, that it has received a $250,000 gift to empower its multicultural center. The center, which will be dedicated on October 21st as the Lawrence A. Dowdy Multicultural Center, will also work towards providing funding to expand the institutions’ current programs and create new initiatives.  

Valley Forge’s AmerisourceBergen has raised its outlook for the current year after better than expected results for the quarter ended in June. The drug wholesaler reported $36.88 billion revenue for the period which beat analysts’ expectations of $36.62 billion and boosted its share price 4.3 percent to $89.22.
